Nathan Schmitt
RED Church Elder Candidate
Nathan Schmitt is a dedicated husband to Sharon and a loving father of two boys, Ezekiel (4) and Elias (9 months). Nathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Government and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Regent University.
His journey with RED Church began with its inception in 2012, where he played a crucial role as part of the launch team. Nathan's dedication and passion for the church community led him to serve in various capacities over the years, including audio-visual ministry, administration, periodically teaching on Sunday mornings, and leading several small groups (including one of his favorites: Financial Peace University).
What makes Nathan's connection to RED Church even more special is that it was within its walls (before it even had walls) that he met his beloved wife, Sharon. Their relationship flourished, culminating in a beautiful marriage in 2018.
Nathan's commitment to the local church runs deep, driven by his genuine love for the congregation and his desire to see RED Church thrive. With his blend of experience, education, and heartfelt devotion, Nathan Schmitt stands as a promising candidate for the role of church elder, ready to continue guiding and nurturing the spiritual growth of the community.
Fun facts: Nathan loves puns, the Ohio State Buckeyes, peanut butter pie, and laughing to Everybody Loves Raymond.
Elder Nomination Process
An elder is nominated by the current elder board. The current elder board approves and then the elder is presented before the church for approval. The church does not vote on elders, but if a church member has an objection to an elder appointment they can make their objection known to the elder board during the interim period.
