Dear RED Church Family,

Covid has been challenging for everyone. We are so thankful that despite the hardship, we've been able to go through this season together, as a family. The recent announcements by the CDC and our governor are an opportunity for us to review our safety measures and make some adjustments.

Before we detail our new guidelines, we want to reinforce the heart of Jesus: we love one another; we serve one another; we consider others as more important than ourselves. With that heart attitude in mind, we respect one another’s choices and decisions. Some of us are vaccinated, some of us are not. Some of us will keep wearing masks, some of us won’t. And some of us will continue to stay at home on Sundays and watch our online services until a future date when vaccination and immunity are more widespread. Thank you for your grace for us as we have tried to navigate this turbulent season. Also, thank you for your grace for each other.

We realize that with a church of our size, we have a variety of convictions about what the safety measures should be. We humbly believe the guidelines that follow reflect the direction and wisdom that the Lord has given us. We hope and pray that you will join us in honoring these guidelines (see below). As we all do this, it will enable us to remain united in the Spirit and bound together with hearts of peace (Ephesians 4:3).

We value your prayers and we are thankful for each one of you!

Love in Christ,

The Elders & Pastors of RED Church

IN PERSON SUNDAY SERVICE GUIDELINES

SOCIAL DISTANCING (As of Sep 19, 2021):

  • Seating layout will return to pre-covid setup.

  • For those who are more concerned about spacing, we recommend joining us at our 8:15am service, which tends to have a lower attendance.

MASKS (As of Sep 19, 2021):

  • We recognize that making medical decisions for you and your family is highly personal, and we trust you to make your own decisions on this matter.

  • In regards to masks, we encourage you to follow the CDC guidelines.

  • CDC guidelines encourage people who have not been vaccinated to wear masks inside. Since there is no way to know if you have been vaccinated, we will leave this to your own conviction.

  • When outside, use your own conviction and discretion.

  • We recommend children wear masks, but trust the discretion of each family.

SERVICES (As of Sep 19, 2021):

  • We will continue to provide hand sanitizer stations and masks upon request.

  • Offering procedure will return to pre-covid norms.

KIDS (As of July 6, 2021):

According to the Virginia Governor, Executive Order 79, requiring students age 5 and older to wear masks when indoors in K - 12 instructional settings, expired at midnight on June 30, 2021.

Based on this information, RED Kids ministry will follow these COVID-19 guidelines:

  • We recognize that making medical decisions for you and your family is highly personal, and we trust you to make your own decisions on this matter.

  • In regards to masks, we encourage you to follow the CDC guidelines.

  • CDC guidelines encourage people who have not been vaccinated to wear masks inside. Since there is no way to know if you have been vaccinated, we will leave this to your own conviction.

  • When outside, use your own conviction and discretion.

  • Kids Dream Teamers will be following these guidelines as well.

  • We will continue Temperature checks and regular cleanings

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 please join us for our online services.
